Ray Whitworth, a former member of the Metropolitan Police and a SME in crowd management and event security, having held positions as
Ray has vast Tournament and Large Event experience having attended 7 Major Tournaments, including four (4) World Cups and three (3) European Championships with the England National Team, as well as other tournaments all over the world.
Responsible for “England fans Security”, Ray also has experience in the preparation of supporter arrangements for English supporters attending tournaments around the world, working with the LOC and FIFA, as well as UK and host Governments.
Simon is a leading specialist in protective security and risk at crowded places, tabletop exercising, penetration testing, workplace violence and personal security.
A police officer for 30 years and was seconded to National Counter Terrorism Security Office where he led the training of CTSAs, delivered and authored national Crowded Places guidance, and ACT Awareness e-learning.
Simon through an exercising program led on the delivery of tabletop exercises nationally for sports stadia, the night-time economy and transport infrastructure, seeking to protect and prepare crowded places, businesses and infrastructure against terrorist attacks.
In 2015 Simon was responsible for ensuring the safety of the British Olympic Team at the pan-European Games in Azerbaijan.
Simon was awarded his certificate in Counter Terrorism Security Management in 2017 and an approved trainer by the Civil Aviation Authority.
Eric has over ten years of experience as an event safety specialist at the Dutch National Police, Eric has successfully completed hundreds of mass events: from national celebrations, concerts and Christmas markets to Premiere league soccer tournaments and EDM festivals. He specializes in managing crowds in confined spaces and crowded places.
Eric knows how to identify problems and to determine which changes are required to run mass events safely.
He has specialized in the various strategies that should be prepared for the emergency evacuation of large crowds and the associated effective crowd communication strategies. He is pragmatic and take an evidence-based approach.
Eric graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a Master's degree in Crowd Safety and Risk Analysis (Crowd Science). Furthermore, Eric is a qualified agent-based modeller, certified by Lund’s University.
Mark Whitten is an experienced public order commander within the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) and currently works in the Public Order Planning command as a Chief Inspector. He is passionate about public safety and recently obtained an MSc in Crowd Safety & Risk Analysis at the Manchester Metropolitan University. He is a Chartered Manager with the CMI and a committee member of the MPS Research & Evidence-Based Policing board.
Mark is a qualified advanced public order commander (Gold, Silver, Bronze), he has directed the planning and commanded a variety of major events including four years as a commander within Notting Hill Carnival, London. He is Nationally qualified as a Multi-Agency Gold Incident commander and a CBRN Silver commander. Mark was the operational strategic policing lead for three high-profile London football club’s, Chelsea FC, Fulham FC and Queens Park Rangers over two seasons.
Ise is a qualified international event professional with demonstrated experience in consulting and designing high scale, high profile events and festivals. With specialist focus on crowd safety and transport planning, she is uniquely placed in her experience having worked for both organising committee and local authority.
Spanning a career across a decade in the UK, Europe and the Middle East, she has had extensive involvement in major sport, festival, music, and political events.
Her passion lies in combining academic research with industry experience to improve crowd safety practices.
Ise holds an MSc in Crowd Safety & Risk Analysis with Distinction, NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, NVQ Level 4 Spectator Safety Management and BSc in Event Management. She is a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and the Institute of Place Management.
